one request, from the forwarded email to the sent quote
The only record is a sent-items folder.
Ask a quote desk how long it takes to answer an RFQ and you get a guess, because nothing is measuring it. Ask which lanes it wins and you get an opinion. Both are answerable — but not from an inbox.
- 01Search sent items to find out whether anyone answered a request.
- 02Estimate how long it took, from the timestamps, for one quote.
- 03Give up on estimating it for all of them.
- 04Ask three people which customers went quiet last month.
- 05Have no idea which lanes are being lost, or at what margin.
- 06Rebuild a spreadsheet of it by hand, once, and never update it.
Measurement as a by-product of doing the work.
These are the measures the desk produces because the quote passed through it — not fields somebody has to fill in afterwards.
- 01Median time to draft. From the request landing to a priced draft being ready to read.
- 02Median time to send. The number your customer actually experiences, including the review.
- 03Sent without a pricing edit. The share of drafts your team sent as prepared — the honest test of whether the mapping and rules are right.
- 04Response rate. How many quotes got an answer at all, which is the question before win rate.
- 05Win and loss by lane and customer.Where the desk is competitive, and where it is quoting into a wall.
- 06Margin exceptions and open follow-ups.What the rules caught before it went out, and what is still sitting waiting on somebody.
One request, all the way through.
Tracking works because the quote was produced here in the first place. The request, the extraction, the priced lines, the draft and the send are all one record — so time to draft, time to send and whether the draft was edited are facts about that record rather than something a person types into a report.

Illustrative sample data. Time to draft and time to send are read off this record — nobody types them in.
What happens when something is missing.
This is the half of automation worth interrogating. Freitt says so rather than filling the gap — no invented rate, no assumed weight, nothing sent unread.
Your desk’s numbers, not ours.
- 01Every measure comes from your own quotes.
- 02We publish no benchmark you have to live up to.
- 03No extra data entry to keep it accurate.
- 04Unknown outcomes are shown as unknown.
- 05Deletion on request, confirmed in writing.
Use this when
- You do not currently know how long the desk takes to answer an RFQ.
- You are about to run a pilot and want a before-and-after on the same measure.
- You want to know which lanes and customers are worth quoting.
- You want the measurement without asking the desk to fill in a CRM.
Look elsewhere when
- You need full pipeline and account management — that is a CRM, and this is not one.
- You need shipment tracking after the booking. Freitt tracks the quote, not the container.
- Your quotes are produced outside Freitt, in which case there is no record here to measure.
- You want cross-company benchmarking against other forwarders.

No. The measures come from quotes that passed through Freitt, so they are a by-product of the work rather than a reporting task. What you may want to record is the outcome — won or lost — and unknowns are shown as unknown rather than assumed.
No, and it is deliberately not trying to be. It tracks quotes from request to outcome. Accounts, pipeline stages and activity logging belong in a CRM if you need one.
No. Freitt tracks the quote — what arrived, what was priced, what was sent and what happened next. Shipment visibility after the booking is not something it does.
The share of drafts sent with no pricing edit. It is the one measure that tells you whether the rate mapping and margin rules are actually right, and it is the first thing to move when something has drifted.
No. We publish no performance figures until they come from a named customer with the sample size and period stated. Your baseline is your own desk before the pilot.
