How Freitt works

From freight RFQ to quote in four steps.

Freitt fits beside the inbox, rate sheets and TMS your team already uses. No replacement project, nothing your customer sees change — and a person decides every send.

What stays the same

  • Your inbox and mail host
  • Your Excel rate sheets
  • Your quote format and terms
  • Who signs off on a price
01

Forward the RFQ

Send the email and attachments to your Freitt address, or set up forwarding once. Freitt reads the body, PDF, spreadsheet, document or image — in whatever language it arrives in.

What about setup? Auto-forward takes about two minutes to switch on, and we do it with you on the call.

02

Check the shipment details

Freitt extracts the lane, mode, pieces, weight, dimensions, dates and Incoterms, and shows them beside the original request. Anything it is unsure of is flagged before pricing, not after.

What about a vague request? If something essential is missing it drafts a focused clarification, asking only for what it needs, and picks the quote back up when the reply lands.

03

Price from your rate sheets

Freitt selects a valid rate, applies your margin and adds the required surcharges — in the currency you quote in, per lane, mode or customer. Every charge stays linked to the source line and the calculation.

Your rate book has no valid lane for this request. Draft the rate inquiry to your carrier?

Draft inquirySkip

What if no rate matches? It says so and drafts a carrier inquiry. It does not fill the gap with a guess, and expired lanes are held out of quoting until you refresh the sheet.

04

Review and send

The original RFQ, the extracted details and the priced draft appear together. Your team checks the quote and sends it from your own email, in your own format — your letterhead, your terms, your validity line.

Follow-up chaser

  1. Tue — quote sent
  2. Thu — 48 h, no reply
  3. Follow-up drafted

Chasers and clarifications are drafted, never sent on their own.

What about sending? Nothing reaches your customer without a person deciding to send it.

Where it hands the decision back.

Automation is only trustworthy if you know where it stops. These are the five places Freitt asks for a person.

5 of 5 documented
  • A detail is missing→ clarification drafted
  • No valid rate on file→ carrier inquiry drafted
  • Quote above your limit→ approval required
  • Customer goes quiet→ follow-up drafted
  • A field reads uncertain→ flagged before pricing

Getting started

Start with one rate sheet.

Map the sheet, set the margin rules and forward a test RFQ. The first working session uses your own lane and your own quote format, so what you read at the end of it is a draft you could actually send.
