How Freitt collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit freitt.com or use the Freitt service.
Last updated 28 September 2026
Who we are
Freitt (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides freight quote automation software for freight forwarders and operates freitt.com. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit the website or use the Freitt service.
For website visitors, demo bookings, mailing-list contacts and customer account details, Freitt is the data controller. For workspace content (the emails, attachments, rate sheets and quotes a customer processes in Freitt) the customer is the controller, and Freitt processes that data on the customer’s behalf under our agreement with them.
Information we collect
When you visit freitt.com
- FunnelSights analytics records the pages you view, the referring site, the links and buttons you click, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits and site usage. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out using Google’s opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
When you book a demo
Demo bookings are handled by Calendly, which collects your name, email address and answers to the booking questions and shares them with us so we can prepare for the call.
When you request the ROI report by email
We collect your name, email address and the figures you enter in the calculator, and use them to generate and send the report through our email provider, Resend. You are also added to our mailing list. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never sell or rent the list.
When you use Freitt
- Account details: names, work email addresses and roles of the people on your team.
- Workspace content: the emails and attachments you forward to Freitt, your rate sheets, margin and approval rules, and quote history, including the customer and shipment details those emails contain.
- Usage and log data: sign-ins, in-app activity and technical logs, used to secure the service and resolve problems.
When you pay
Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, which collects your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, billing country and subscription status, but never your full card number. See our Billing & Refund Policy.
How we use information
- To provide the Freitt service: reading incoming requests, pricing them from your rates and drafting replies for your review.
- To provide support and keep the service secure and reliable.
- To manage billing through Paddle.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To send reports you request and occasional product updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use one customer’s workspace to serve another customer, and we do not use workspace data to train shared models.
Legal bases
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases:
- Contract: to provide the service to customers and process payments.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the service and website, understand how the website is used, and respond to enquiries and demo bookings.
- Consent: for marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records.
AI processing
Freitt uses AI models, including models from third-party providers acting on our behalf, to read requests and attachments and draft replies. Workspace data is processed only to provide the service to the customer it belongs to. A member of the customer’s team reviews every draft before anything is sent.
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate Freitt, and only to the extent each needs:
- Cloud hosting and AI model providers, to run the service.
- Paddle, for payments, tax and refunds.
- Calendly, for demo bookings.
- Resend, for email delivery.
- Google Analytics and FunnelSights, for website analytics.
We may also disclose data where required by law. If Freitt is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction and will remain subject to this policy.
Security
Each customer’s data is held in a separate encrypted workspace and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. More detail is on our security page.
Retention
- Workspace content and account details are kept while your account is active. On request, we delete your workspace and confirm in writing what was deleted and when.
- Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Mailing-list contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU or UK GDPR and US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email care@freitt.com. We respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If your details reached Freitt in an email forwarded by one of our customers, that customer controls the data, and requests should be directed to them. We will assist them in responding.
International transfers
Freitt and its service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
Freitt is a business service and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. We will notify customers by email before any material change takes effect.

Privacy questions, requests and complaints can be sent to care@freitt.com.
